We've had a wonderful day being active with Olympic Swimmer, Amy Smith!

Amy has been with us most of the day, helping the children from Reception in Year 6 doing some fun activities and exercises! Then she gave a really engaging assembly for all children in Key Stage 1 and 2.

It was fascinating to find out that Amy was afraid of water until she learnt to swim at 7!

She now has many swimming achievements to her name, including being a medallist in the 2012 Olympics in London, and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

As well as working so hard on taking part in the day, our children absolutely smashed it with gaining sponsorship for the day.

We are VERY proud to announce that Woodlands children have raised a whopping £2,639.40!!!

The vast majority of this money will be used to enhance our outdoors equipment.
