Year 6 Pupils Celebrate Completion of Regather Farm Programme

A small group of children from Year 6 have just completely a six-week programme at Regather Farm at Lightwood in Sheffield.

The programme has been designed to allow the children to explore new experiences, develop their teamwork and communication skills, learn some practical farming skills, and build in confidence and self-esteem.

They took part in a wide range of practical activities over the course of the programme, including planting and growing vegetables and flowers, building bug hotels, watering plants, moving materials around the farm, and learning about a range of aspects of farm work.

Yesterday we held a picnic at the farm with parents to celebrate their achievements, and it gave the children a chance to show off the incredible work they've done at the farm.

We'd like to thank the team at Regather for being so generous with their time and energy, and making this such a brilliant experience for our pupils.
